Hafla
hafla — حفلة — celebration.
A hafla is a gathering. A room full of people who came to feel something: to laugh, to listen, to belong somewhere for a few hours.
khamsa🖐🏽 produces hafla events at the Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto: evenings built around Arabic culture and the simple premise that this community deserves spaces made with it in mind, not just for it. Comedy, live music, storytelling. Each hafla is different. The feeling isn't.
We've been doing this since 2026. The rooms keep filling up.
